lit.onl is live with never-expire short links, API + MCP for agents, secure docs — plus RediRL conditional routing and Premium mirror chains that probe destinations from the visitor’s browser and fall back when a target is blocked or down.
lit.onl is live: a URL shortener and document-sharing platform built for how teams ship links in 2026 — marketers, founders, developers, and AI agents.
Short links live on lit.onl. Product, docs, billing, and accounts live on litonl.com. Create a free account, paste a long URL, get a clean lit.onl link. No card required. Links never expire by default on every plan, with optional expiry when you want it.
Day one includes custom slugs, QR codes, UTM builder, password gates, click analytics, and plan-based history depth. Growth+ adds REST API, a hosted MCP server at mcp.litonl.com (same OAuth credentials for Cursor, Claude, and other agents), webhooks, CSV, secure PDF/deck view links, and data rooms.
The standout is RediRL — Redirect Rule Language — plus Premium mirroring.
RediRL (Growth+)
One lit.onl slug can evaluate rules at click time and send each visitor to a different destination. Authors write readable conditions on country, device, OS, bot detection, and more, then map matches to URLs. Dual syntax works for humans and tools: and / or / not / ->, or && / || / ! / then.
What RediRL enables:
• Mobile → app store, desktop → website, from a single slug
• Country routing (e.g. US/CA vs EU) without maintaining separate links
• Combined logic: (os = ios or os = android) and not is_bot = true -> …
• Visual Flow or RediRL source — both compile to the same RuleSet
• Export / import .redirl files for versioned, shareable rule libraries
Mirroring (Premium)
When a destination may be blocked, slow, or down on the visitor’s network, a RediRL branch can use a mirror chain instead of a single hard redirect. The edge returns a small loader page; the visitor’s browser probes ordered HTTPS mirrors (token-checked well-known / HTML probes, or simple reachability), then navigates to the first that proves available — or to a required fallback URL if none succeed.
That matters for geo-sensitive and multi-CDN setups: a classic server 302 cannot see what the visitor can actually open. Mirroring checks from the client, with password / confirm-leave gates still applied first. Caps: up to five mirrors per branch, HTTPS only.
Example shape:
country in CN -> mirror https://a.example/app token "secret" check both, https://b.example/app token "secret" check well_known else https://fallback.example/
Plans: Free (10 links/month), Core (200 links, 30 days of clicks), Growth (1,000 links, 4 months history, API, MCP, RediRL, docs & data rooms), Premium (6,000 links, 1 year of clicks, higher seats/storage, mirror-aware redirects).
