Google’s Dreambeans service now delivers personalized daily story collections to all U.S. accounts, integrating data from Google apps and Gemini.

Google has rolled out Dreambeans, a new service that curates personalized daily story collections for every U.S. Google account, leveraging data from across its ecosystem and the Gemini AI model.

How Dreambeans Works

Each morning, Dreambeans assembles a handful of articles, videos and podcasts that match a user’s interests, drawing on activity from Gmail, Search, YouTube and other Google apps. The Gemini model analyzes this data to surface content that is both relevant and diverse, aiming to reduce the time users spend searching for news.

Privacy and Personalization

Google says the service respects existing privacy settings; only data that users have already permitted for personalization is used. Dreambeans does not create new profiles, and users can opt out at any time via the account settings page.

What’s Included in the Daily Collection

  • Top headlines from trusted news outlets
  • Feature stories aligned with user‑selected topics
  • Short video summaries powered by Gemini’s generative capabilities
  • Podcast episode recommendations based on listening habits

The collection is delivered through a dedicated Dreambeans tab in the Google app and can also be accessed via the web at dreambeans.google.com.

Our goal is to make discovery effortless while keeping user control front and center, said a Google spokesperson in the launch announcement.

Google plans to expand Dreambeans to additional regions later this year, with ongoing refinements to the Gemini model to improve relevance and reduce bias.
