Adobe announced the launch of an AI‑powered Productivity Agent in Acrobat, enabling users to convert dense documents into easily digestible visuals, audio, and slide decks, enhancing productivity for over a billion users worldwide.
Adobe has unveiled an AI‑powered Productivity Agent embedded in Acrobat, promising to turn dense PDFs into visual summaries, audio narrations, and ready‑to‑use slide decks.
What the Productivity Agent Does
The new feature leverages generative AI to analyze complex documents and automatically generate concise visual representations, such as infographics and charts, as well as audio versions that read the content aloud.
Users can also request a formatted presentation, and the agent will produce a slide deck that captures the document’s key points, complete with suggested layouts and speaker notes.
How It Improves Workflow
By handling the heavy lifting of summarization and format conversion, the Productivity Agent aims to reduce the time professionals spend re‑creating content for meetings, training, or client briefings.
The tool integrates directly into the Acrobat interface, allowing a single click to generate the desired output without leaving the application.
Availability and Compatibility
Adobe says the agent will roll out to all Acrobat users over the next few weeks, supporting both desktop and cloud versions on Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
- Instant visual summaries (infographics, charts)
- Audio narration of document text
- Automated slide deck creation
- Available in Acrobat Pro and Standard
The AI engine behind the agent builds on Adobe’s Firefly generative AI suite, which has been integrated across the Creative Cloud ecosystem for image and text generation.
Adobe emphasizes that the feature respects user privacy, processing documents locally where possible and adhering to its existing data security standards.
“Our goal is to make every PDF instantly understandable, no matter how complex,” said Adobe’s senior vice president of product innovation.
The Productivity Agent is part of Adobe’s broader strategy to embed AI across its product line, aiming to boost productivity for its more than one‑billion‑strong user base.
