Google announced that its Ask Maps feature now includes agentic capabilities such as ordering food, booking hotels, and finding event tickets, leveraging Personal Intelligence to personalize responses.
Google Maps is expanding beyond navigation, adding agentic features that let users order food, book hotels, and secure event tickets directly within the app.
Ask Maps Gets Personal Intelligence
The new capabilities are powered by Google’s Personal Intelligence framework, which tailors responses based on a user’s preferences, location history, and past interactions.
When a user asks, “Find a place for dinner tonight,” the assistant can suggest nearby restaurants, show menus, and even place an order with a single tap.
Seamless Hotel Reservations
Travelers can now search for accommodations, compare prices, and complete bookings without leaving the map interface. The system pulls data from Google’s partner hotels and integrates loyalty program details when available.
Ticket Purchases for Events
From concerts to sports games, Ask Maps can locate available tickets, display seating charts, and finalize purchases, streamlining the entire ticket‑buying process.
- Order meals from local restaurants
- Reserve rooms at hotels with price comparison
- Buy tickets for concerts, theater, and sports events
These agentic actions aim to keep users within the Google ecosystem, reducing friction and competing with dedicated ordering and booking platforms.
Google says the feature will roll out globally over the next few months, initially to users who have opted into personalized experiences.
